Target Audience:

Staff involved in supporting young people in schools, colleges or work based learning organisations.

Background

Information, advice and guidance is everyone's business! If we work with young people we will, inevitably, have an influence on their perceptions of choices in learning and work and on their understanding of progressions pathways. This course will explore and practise the skills needed to provide advice and guidance with young people.

Aims

To enable participants to:

• explore the range of skills needed for one to one work
• practise these skills in a friendly, supportive environment
• improve the range of skills for effective guidance for one to one work.

Costs

Course costs, including lunch and refreshments, will be paid by Connexions Norfolk.
